As a Software Engineer, you’ll perform research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software or product line. You will use your expertise to solve problems including the design of the program flow, code and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.

• Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.

• Collaborating with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.

• Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.

• Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.

• Resolving technical issues and completing bug fixes, as necessary.

Requirements

• Demonstrate extensive experience in software engineering

• Have a degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Have experience or familiarity of data modeling principles

• Show a proficiency with data manipulation languages

• Display an ability to work with complex data models

• Have experience in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JS, XML, SQL

• Show the ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.

• Have knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), data storage subsystems, and test driven development

• Have experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Lucene, Solr or Elasticsearch is highly desirable
