Our client, a leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic individual who thrives on ensuring that equipment, processes, and the facility operate at peak efficiency and safety. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing and managing advanced maintenance practices and procedures, leading continuous improvement projects, and overseeing the installation and refurbishment of equipment. This position offers the unique opportunity to direct a skilled team of Maintenance Supervisors, Technicians, and other personnel toward achieving corporate, site, and departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance practices, including preventive, predictive, and repair strategies.
  • Monitor and report on key maintenance metrics and indicators to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment efficiency, process flow, and facility standards.
  • Oversee the installation and refurbishment of new and existing equipment, ensuring projects meet specifications and timelines.
  • Manage and supervise the Maintenance/Automation team, fostering a culture of growth, efficiency, and safety.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with the Plant Manager and senior site staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Train and evaluate maintenance personnel to align with current and future operational requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices by maintenance personnel and contractors.
  • Periodic travel to other sites for training, support, and ensuring uniformity in maintenance practices.
  • Uphold and implement the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills in directing, training, and motivating maintenance teams.
  • Acute attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of the maintenance organization's role within a manufacturing environment.

     

Education & Experience:

  • Engineering/technical degree or equivalent technical background, with recognized technical expertise (licensed journeyman or master preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or engineering, with a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical systems, fluid power, and industrial controls
