Job Summary:

Tundra Federal is seeking a Curriculum Creator to develop training curricula, including Computer-Based Training (CBT) courses and Instructor-Led Training (ILT), for an Air Force IT program. The Curriculum Creator will design and edit IT architecture and engineering designs, including program processes, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract requirements. This role involves close collaboration with the training team to ensure that all educational materials meet high standards of clarity, effectiveness, and technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Script Storyboards for Computer-Based Training (CBT) courses.

  • Develop comprehensive courseware and supporting documents for Interactive Courseware (ICW) and Instructor-Led Training (ILT), ensuring alignment with learning objectives and program deliverables.

  • Edit IT Architecture and Engineering designs and documentation, and other technical deliverables, to ensure they meet company and customer templates; proofread for grammar and spelling mistakes.

  • Review and interpret engineering data/drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to ensure accurate information dissemination.

  • Simplify complex technical ideas into understandable language suitable for diverse learning audiences.

  • Create visual aids such as charts, graphs, or forms to enhance understanding and retention of technical information.

  • Select instructional media, materials, and equipment best suited to achieve learning objectives and enhance the educational experience.

  • Follow a structured document development life cycle to manage content creation and revision effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Technical Writing and Editing, preferably within the Department of Defense (DoD) sector, with a strong preference for candidates with experience working on United States Air Force projects, including experience with CDRLs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint.

  • Demonstrated skills in instructional design and the development of educational content, including Interactive Courseware (ICW) and Instructor-Led Training (ILT).

  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Demonstrated excellence in speaking, reading, and writing in American English with a strong command of grammar and punctuation.

  • Active Secret Clearance required.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Air Force Tongue and Quill, demonstrating proficiency in the standardized communication styles and formats used within the USAF.

  • Extensive experience in creating training documents specifically for the United States Air Force, including a deep understanding of USAF training protocols and requirements.

  • Experience with advanced instructional technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) used for developing, implementing, and assessing training programs.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Captivate.
