Purpose

The candidate is responsible to support FP&A function by performing the assigned tasks and projects under the guidance of the FP&A Leadership team. The candidate will benefit from exposure to Liberty’s renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro and thermal) portfolios and regulated utilities business.

Accountabilities

  • Assist in in preparing monthly management financial reports ((P&L, variance reports and KPIs).

  • Doing variance analysis and root-cause analysis for material variances.

  • Assist in the compilation of data for the preparation of the quarterly MD&A and other reports.

  • Assist in preparing the Budget / LTM inputs

  • Downloading reports from Financial systems and distribution to business stakeholders

  • Working with Business stakeholders to implement process changes

  • Support with the documentation of department projects

  • Providing support on Adhoc queries.

Education and Experience

  • 2nd to 4th year Business student attending College or University with a focus in Finance or Accounting

  • Experienced in data analysis including root cause analysis

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Programs with emphasis in Excel

  • Detail oriented, organized, and take initiative on assigned tasks and projects

  • Strong oral and written communication with team-oriented approach

  • Ability to work independently and handle priorities
