SME is seeking a Staff Engineer with pavement related project experience for a regular, full-time position with our Infrastructure Services group in our Macomb, Michigan office.

Requirements for this position includes:

• A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering;
• A clean driving record and experience driving in the U.S.;
• The ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for long periods of time, work from heights and tight spaces, and work in inclement weather;
• Willingness to travel to cover out-of-town overnight projects;
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, on an as needed basis;
• Team Members must have good organizational, written and oral communication skills;
• Motivated self-starter and able to work independently;
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Identify and solve problems, and work well in a team environment;
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop and/or kneel for long periods of time;
• Must be able to walk and work on uneven ground/terrain;
• Exemplify safe work practices and follow the company's compliance standards; and
• Punctual and hard worker.
