The Communications Specialist reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of a wide variety of communication and publicity initiatives for BRTC and the BRTC Foundation. Duties include coordinating all media inquiries for BRTC and the BRTC Foundation; assisting the Marketing Specialist in maintaining and enforcing college and Foundation branding; creating and disseminating all written publicity and press releases in print and digital mediums for BRTC, its departments and employees, and the BRTC Foundation; assisting IA staff including marketing and development with written communication and documents; managing BRTC and the BRTC Foundation website content and all BRTC and BRTC Foundation social media accounts; co-coordinating the organization, storage, maintenance, and access of IAs digital images; editing photography as necessary; and assisting other IA members with IA activities such as marketing and development, as necessary.
