Responsibilities

Participates in and supports all aspects of healthcare food service operations. Works with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrates excellent customer service to patients, guests and staff. Follows healthcare food service industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding and storage processes. Avoids cross contamination of foods and adheres to personal hygiene requirements. Maintains proper labeling of food products and ensures storage of food equipment, and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen certification, as well as Food Handler certification: *Food Handler Certification must be from ServSafe, or as required by state of local health code

• *Certification can be obtained within 30 days of hire, or as required by state or local health code Specific state and local food handler requirements:

• Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Pay Range

$17.33 - $21.53 /hour
