<p>The Assistant Manager contributes to the success of Birch Lane by inspiring customers to embrace our <br>Classic Style for Joyful Living. You will help shape a culture that promotes a relentless customer focus<br>to deliver all financial responsibilities. As a mentor, educator, and coach, you will develop creative <br>ways to inspire your team to deliver an outstanding performance every day.</p>

<p><br><strong>W H A T  Y O U ’ L L  D O</strong><br>• Provide an authentic, friendly customer experience that exemplifies our commitment to a relentless <br>customer focus.<br>• Collaborate with the Store Manager to establish and communicate all critical metrics, expectations,<br>and key aspects to drive team engagement, sales, design, and exceptional customer service. <br>• Coach, develop, and lead all aspects of performance, development, safety, and recognition for the <br>team to ensure continuous growth and build a bench of talent.<br>• Oversee and develop the Design team's knowledge of our product, selling, service, operations, and <br>other aspects of their roles; Provide coaching and support their allocated workload.<br>• Manage virtual and in-store design appointments (including preparation of design deliverables,<br>product curation and follow-up) to drive growth and incremental sales. <br>• Maintain leadership presence to include, effectively managing the floor, driving sales, scheduling the<br>right team, in the right place at the right time, and ensuring the MOD is in role throughout the day.<br>• Create and maintain a culture that achieves a respectful work environment where individual <br>differences are valued and appreciated. <br>• Model and ensure all policies and procedures are communicated effectively, maintained, and <br>consistently followed.<br>• Additional responsibilities as assigned.</p>

<p><br><strong>W H A T   Y O U ’ L L   N E E D </strong><br>• 3+ years of leadership experience involving motivating a team to achieve sales goals<br>• Experience establishing and maintaining a client base and design program.<br>• Client-centric mindset and strong business acumen<br>• Interior design, furniture, or home goods experience preferred<br>• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills<br>• Proven ability to motivate, influence, and inspire yourself and others<br>• Track record of thriving in a fast-paced and changing environment<br>• Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule to include morning, afternoon, and evening<br>availability any day of the week.<br>• Employment/promotion to this role will be contingent on the successful completion of a background <br>check and drug test.</p>

<p><br><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMNTS</strong><br>• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and <br>hear. The employee must frequently handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.<br>The employee is occasionally required to sit; regularly climb or balance; and frequently stoop,<br>kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly, frequently, or occasionally lift and/or move up <br>to 50 lbs.<br>• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,<br>peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</p>
