Job Description

The primary responsibility for this position is to design wide analog and mixed signal circuits portfolio in CMOS deep sub-micron processes (Intel3, Intel18A and beyond). Duties will include architecture and design of standard cells, sensors, op-amps, bias references, buffers, voltage regulators, Xtal oscillator buffers, high speed frequency dividers, digital-analog mixed signal circuits, etc.

Specific Responsibilities Include

Design Analog and digital (mixed signal) circuits for better PPA (power/Performance/Area), simulation and characterization

Design op-amps, Comparators, Temp and voltage sensor, bandgap references, regulators, HS buffers, etc.

Design high speed, low power Data Converters.

Design high speed, low noise/jitter VCO(ring), LCVCO, DCO.

Analyze device and circuit figures of merit, compare with available competitive data, and document gaps and actions for improvement.

Familiar with layout, supervise Mask designers, provide floor plan and layout guidelines

Work with customers to communicate design and technology value and performance.

Provide technical feedback to PDK and modeling teams

Support the AMS reference design flow and design documentations

Support debug and bench characterization to ensure silicon quality

Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering

Analog circuit design and transistor level modeling experience.

6+ years industrial experience in analog and mixed signal circuit design.

Requires strong fundamental understanding of transistor level analog design concepts and CMOS deep sub-micron processes (16nm and beyond)

Ability to work with early release PDKs and technologies.

Working knowledge of Cadence custom design tools, spice circuit simulators, mixed signal simulator and Verilog A

Experience in silicon bring-up, debugging and use of lab instrumentation is desirable.

Self-motivated, team player who follows through with minimal guidance

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
